Optical Bonding and DryBond™ Products
ALP offers optical bonding and dry bond display products. The wet-bond or dry-bond technologies are used in making our impact resistant sunlight readable touch screen, gTouch, with glass surface, and various display head assemblies (DHA). In gTouch, a chemically strengthened 0.3 mm thin glass is laminated to the surface of ITO film of resistive touch, which equips the touch screen with a very durable surface. The resulting touch screen is resistant to dust, flame, water, scratches, and chemicals and suitable for applications in highly demanding environments. With proper backing glass sheet laminated to the touch screen further strengthen the unit to survive boot kick impact test. Our gTouch integrated display head assembly is proven to survive 2 oz steel ball drop test at 100 cm height and boot kick impact test. Our EMI shielding windows are highly effective and may be directly overlaid to a monitor or a notebook.
gTouch: Impact Resistant Touch Screen
ALP has developed a DryBond process that allows us to laminate a 0.2 or 0.3 mm glass sheet on the top of a film on glass, FG, touch screen to make a highly durable glass-film-glass touch screen (GFG), the gTouch, which has much enhanced surface durability. The surface glass of a gTouch is usually treated with multi-layer anti-reflection coating (in-house) to enhance the optical performances of the LCD in high ambient lighting conditions, including direct sunlight. ALP also developed a new technology to further strengthen the bottom ITO glass of the touch screen. The resulting touch screen is certainly one of the most impact resistant touch screens you will find on the current market.

Display Head Assembly: DHA
ALP offers display assembly services to integrate LCD, heater, EMI shielding, and resistive touch screen per your request. A patented display head assembly technology is used in many of our customized display head assemblies (DAH). The technology offers a total reflection control regardless the number of reflective parts in the DHA and produces a DHA having superior outdoor performances. DHAs readily available are listed in the following selections. Some selections may require a minimum QTY to order. DHAs with sunlight readability, enhanced durability, boot-kick impact resistance, EMI shield, NVIS comparability, high bright LED backlight, and heating device are available per your specifications through our R&D and customization department.
